Our story
When the textile merchant Josef Klaas and the young Max Hesse founded Klaas & Hesse OHG on the 1st of October in 1922, they did not expect that this textile agency would last into the fourth generation.
After joining the company in 1963, Manfred Hesse, son of the co-founder, recognized the importance of italian fabric producers situated in the textile regions of Biella and Prato and succeeded in establishing high quality weaving mills on the German market.
With Christian Hesse, the fourth generation joined the company in 1995. In 2000 Andrea Wolf strengthened the sales and headed the office staff. Finally the range expanded to include more textile products and is also being expanded by suppliers of trimmings, labeling and packaging.
The agency is now one of the best-known in the industry and also takes care of clients from the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland.
In order to better cover the market, a second office was opened in southern Germany near Munich and in 2020 Paul Schwarz joined the agency as a partner.

Leomaster from Prato (Italy) is specialized in producing yarn dyed fabrics and jerseys for smart casual garments. The focus lies on creativity, innovation and sustainability. Strength in summer is linen delave and mixtures with cotton and other fibres. In Winter Leomaster produces wool blends and cashmere.

Lanificio di Tollegno founded in 1900 and based in the textile region of Biella is a leading manufacturer of fabrics made from virgin wool and other natural fibers such as cashmere, camelhair and linen.
